New Delhi, Dec 3 (NationPress) Union Minister of State for External Affairs (MoS) Kirti Vardhan Singh engaged with a visiting delegation of Egyptian youth on Wednesday, as part of the bilateral youth initiative. Their discussions revolved around significant progress in Artificial Intelligence (AI), renewable energy, and sustainable development.

Singh expressed, "I had the privilege of interacting with the youth delegation from Egypt during the Bilateral Youth Exchange Programme. It was enlightening to learn about their experiences in cities like Bengaluru, Ahmedabad, Vadodara, Agra, and New Delhi. We also shared insights on the ongoing advancements in AI, renewable energy, and sustainable development," he shared on X.

Earlier, the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports announced that the Egyptian youth delegation toured Dandi Kutir in Gujarat’s Gandhinagar, a museum dedicated to the teachings of Mahatma Gandhi.

In a post on X, the ministry noted, "As part of the International Youth Exchange Programme, the Egyptian Youth Delegation explored Dandi Kutir in Gandhinagar, Gujarat — a museum dedicated to Gandhi’s legacy. Through immersive digital galleries and interactive displays, the delegates experienced India’s rich heritage, gaining profound insights into Gandhi’s teachings. This engagement allowed them to connect with Gandhi’s leadership and India’s freedom struggle, viewed through a technological lens."

During their stay, the Egyptian youth delegation also visited the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) in Bengaluru. The Ministry emphasized that this interaction highlighted India’s innovation-driven space sector and its rising stature within the global scientific community, reinforcing bilateral cooperation and knowledge sharing.

"Under the International Youth Exchange Programme, the Egyptian Youth Delegation visited ISRO in Bengaluru, gaining firsthand knowledge of India’s trailblazing achievements in space science and technology. This meeting underscored India’s innovative space ecosystem and its growing global prominence, fostering bilateral collaboration and knowledge exchange," the Ministry stated on X.

The Egyptian delegation also toured the Science Gallery in Bengaluru. The Ministry remarked, "At the intersection of science and society, the Egyptian Youth Delegation explored the Science Gallery in Karnataka, renowned for its interactive exhibits that amalgamate science, art, and innovation. The delegation participated in hands-on activities and digital interfaces, witnessing how human-centered ideas can shape the future of science."

Last week, the Egyptian youth delegation met Union Minister of Youth Affairs and Sports Mansukh Mandaviya, engaging in discussions about bilateral relations, cultural connections, and insights gained from their time in India.

"As part of the International Youth Exchange Programme, the Egyptian delegates had an enriching discussion with Hon’ble Union Minister of Youth Affairs & Sports, Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya at Circuit House, Vadodara. The conversation highlighted the depth of India–Egypt relations, cultural ties, and insights from their Indian experience, complemented by a traditional Gujarati Thali dinner — a memorable showcase of India’s cultural warmth and hospitality," the Ministry noted on X.

The Egyptian youth delegation also visited the i-Hub Incubation Centre in Gujarat, where they explored India’s supportive innovation ecosystem, interacted with entrepreneurs, and gained valuable insights into the country’s rapidly growing startup environment, as per the Ministry's statement on X.

Upon their arrival in Bengaluru on November 27, the Egyptian youth delegation received a warm welcome from Department of Youth Affairs officials, according to the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports. Their visit, spanning from November 26 to December 3, focused on “Upscaling Youth Leadership in the Era of Artificial Intelligence,” marking the beginning of a significant exchange aimed at fostering collaboration, innovation, and cross-cultural learning.
