Bhopal, July 25 (NationPress) Chief Minister Mohan Yadav announced on Friday that his administration is dedicated to enhancing health services throughout the state by setting up new medical colleges and hospitals.

He emphasized that over the past year and a half, numerous transformative initiatives have been implemented, including the establishment of hospitals and medical colleges in partnership with private entities.

CM Yadav revealed that the government has sanctioned a proposal to create up to 40 medical colleges under the Public-Private Partnership (PPP) framework in Madhya Pradesh.

"Enhancing health services in Madhya Pradesh is crucial at this moment. Our government is advancing step by step to guarantee that citizens receive superior medical facilities," stated Chief Minister Yadav during the inauguration of a new Computed Tomography (CT) scan and Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) block at Hamidia Hospital in Bhopal.

He noted that the government is offering 25 acres of land at a nominal fee of Re 1 to investors interested in establishing medical colleges on the PPP model, asserting that this initiative will not only bolster health services but also create job opportunities for youth pursuing medical education.

Importantly, a proposal on this matter was endorsed by CM Yadav in April of this year.

Previously, investors were required to secure land independently. To ease this process, the government has modified the tender documents.

In discussions with the media, the Chief Minister also shared that the state government has already allocated land for four medical colleges and hospitals under the PPP model, with additional land allotments forthcoming.

CM Yadav further mentioned that a high-level meeting with private stakeholders is on the horizon.

Meanwhile, CM Yadav underscored the advantages of the 'PM Shri Air Ambulance' service, a complimentary air ambulance initiative launched by the Madhya Pradesh government in April this year.

He remarked, "Every life is invaluable, and with this conviction, Madhya Pradesh is experiencing remarkable growth across all sectors under the guidance of PM Modi."

The 'PM Shri Air Ambulance' service has been initiated in Madhya Pradesh to deliver advanced medical assistance during emergencies.

Through this service, critically ill patients are transported by air from one city to another or even beyond at minimal costs.

Point of View

I believe that the proactive measures taken by the Madhya Pradesh government in establishing new medical colleges and hospitals reflect a commitment to improving public health.
