Rewa, July 26 (NationPress) In a strategic effort to establish Madhya Pradesh as a leading destination for tourism and medical infrastructure, Chief Minister Dr Mohan Yadav unveiled a variety of substantial investment incentives during the opening session of the MP Tourism Conclave held in Rewa.
This conclave, organized by the Madhya Pradesh Tourism Board, attracted hospitality leaders, healthcare investors, and policy experts from all over the nation.
While addressing attendees at the Krishna Raj Kapoor Auditorium, Dr Yadav announced that the state government will provide a capital subsidy of Rs 30 crore to any hotelier making an investment of Rs 100 crore or more in tourism infrastructure.
In a similar vein, investors setting up hospitals under the medical tourism category will qualify for a Rs 40 crore subsidy with a minimum investment of Rs 100 crore. These incentives are part of the newly introduced Madhya Pradesh Tourism Policy 2025 and the Health Sector Investment Promotion Policy 2025, both designed to attract significant private investment and generate employment in underdeveloped regions.
The Chief Minister underscored the state’s dedication to inclusive industrial growth. Under the Industrial Promotion Policy 2025, Madhya Pradesh will offer monthly wage support of Rs 5,000 for male workers and Rs 6,000 for female workers in new industrial units. This employment-linked incentive aims to promote labour-intensive industries and increase women’s participation in the workforce.
Dr Yadav remarked, “The conclave has attracted investment proposals of Rs 3,000 crore in the tourism sector, including commitments for new hotels in religious locations like Chitrakoot.” With these declarations, Madhya Pradesh seeks to emerge as a national frontrunner in tourism and healthcare investment, while also addressing regional inequalities and generating employment.
The conclave also marked the launch of the PM Shri Tourism Air Service Booking Portal, a digital platform integrated with IRCTC to enhance air connectivity to heritage and spiritual sites. Additionally, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed with MakeMyTrip to improve digital branding and outreach for Madhya Pradesh’s tourism offerings.
Tourism Secretary Shiv Shekhar Shukla pointed out that the state has already received investment proposals surpassing Rs 12,000 crore in hospitality, wellness, and eco-tourism sectors. The government also plans to set up handicraft and art centers in tribal districts to incorporate local artisans into the tourism value chain. The conclave will proceed through July 27, featuring investor discussions, cultural presentations, and familiarization tours of Rewa’s tourism assets.
