Amaravati, July 27 (NationPress) Andhra Pradesh's Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu emphasized that the Telugu community plays a crucial role in bolstering India-Singapore relations.
Leading a group of ministers and officials, he landed in Singapore on Sunday for a five-day mission aimed at attracting investments into the state.
CM Naidu shared on the social media platform X his joy over the warm reception extended by the lively Telugu community. “Their presence and contributions are essential in fortifying the bond between our nations. I extend my gratitude for their warm welcome and affection,” he stated.
Prior to his departure to Singapore, he referred to the nation as a highly valued partner in growth and home to a dynamic Telugu community. He expressed eagerness to meet Ministers, industry leaders, and members of the Telugu diaspora.
“Singapore has been instrumental in Andhra Pradesh’s development journey. As one of Asia’s most advanced economies, it presents valuable chances for deeper collaboration. This visit is a chance to rejuvenate our trusted partnership, elevate Brand Andhra Pradesh on the global stage, showcase our new progressive policies, and forge lasting collaborations for inclusive growth,” remarked Naidu.
As per the Chief Minister’s Office, Naidu received an enthusiastic and warm welcome from the local Telugu community, industrialists, NRIs, and APNRT representatives.
While traveling from the airport to their hotel, Telugu families residing in Singapore gathered along the route to greet them. Women in traditional attire offered ceremonial harathi, while children performed Kuchipudi dances to honor the Chief Minister’s arrival.
The atmosphere around the CM’s hotel turned festive, filled with the vibrant presence of Telugu families extending a heartfelt welcome.
During his visit to Singapore, the Chief Minister is set to engage in a total of 29 activities.
Later today, he, along with Ministers Nara Lokesh, P. Narayana, and T.G. Bharat, will participate in the Telugu Diaspora meeting.
