The youth, identified as Rajkumar Chaudhary, a resident of Bahuriband in Katni district, claims that village head Ramanuj Pandey brutally attacked him, while his nephew reportedly urinated on him.
Chaudhary further alleged that when his mother attempted to intervene, Pandey and his accomplices, who are linked to the illegal mining operations, assaulted her and used derogatory language.
This incident occurred a few days prior and came to light on Thursday after Chaudhary filed a formal complaint against the village head and his accomplices with the Additional Superintendent of Police (ASP) of Karni, Santosh Dehariya.
Following his complaint submission, Chaudhary told IANS that he was attacked by Ramanuj Pandey and his associates when he tried to stop them from their mining activities.
