Jaipur, Aug 14 (NationPress) Rajya Sabha MP Madan Rathore, who also serves as the Rajasthan unit BJP chief, stated on Thursday that the Nai Manzil Yojana, initiated by the government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, has opened up a new avenue for education and job opportunities for the youth in minority communities. This initiative combines traditional education with skill development, aiming to create enhanced livelihood prospects.

In response to Rathore's inquiry in the Rajya Sabha, Union Minister Kiren Rijiju revealed that under this initiative, a total of 98,712 youth have received training to date. The Nai Manzil Yojana is designed to empower minority communities by integrating education at the Class 8 and Class 10 levels with vocational training, thereby improving employability.

Additionally, the program emphasizes entrepreneurship and the preservation of the cultural heritage of these communities. Rathore mentioned that the Modi government has fortified and broadened the scope of this initiative by linking it with the Prime Minister's Heritage Promotion (PM Vikas) Yojana.

This integration seeks to ensure that more youth can benefit from training and capacity-building programs. The scheme caters to the youth from Muslim, Christian, Sikh, Buddhist, Parsi, and Jain communities, with up to 5 percent seats reserved for other minorities in special areas.

Eligible beneficiaries must be aged between 17 and 35 years, belong to Below Poverty Line (BPL) families, and meet specified eligibility criteria. An essential highlight of the scheme is its emphasis on women empowerment, with 30 percent of the seats reserved for women and girls.

Rathore underscored that this initiative will substantially enhance women's participation in the workforce and elevate their socio-economic status.

He further stated that the initiatives under the PM Vikas Yojana are providing minority youth with a new “flight of self-reliance” by equipping them with industry-relevant skills, fostering entrepreneurship, and creating self-employment opportunities.

Rathore highlighted that the measures implemented by the Modi government in skill development, education, and women empowerment for minority youth will contribute to comprehensive social and economic advancement in the country.

He emphasized that empowering the younger generation of minority communities not only secures their future but also propels the progress of the nation as a whole.
