New Delhi, May 7 (NationPress) Defence Minister Rajnath Singh on Wednesday commended the Indian Army for its decisive retaliation by targeting locations deep within Pakistan after the Pahalgam terror attack.
“Bharat Mata Ki Jai,” the Defence Minister expressed on X, praising the nation's defense forces.
Minister of Parliamentary Affairs Kiren Rijiju also acknowledged the army's efforts with a simple post reading “#OperationSindoor #JaiHind” on his X account.
Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw shared on X, “Jai Hind.”
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath exclaimed, “Jai Hind! Jai Hind Army!” while sharing the ‘Operation Sindoor’ poster from the Indian Army's official X account.
Former Union Minister Anurag Thakur echoed, “Jai Hind, Jai Hind's Army.”

Earlier, the Indian Army announced that it had targeted nine locations deep inside Pakistan as a response to the Pahalgam terror attack.
“Not long ago, the Indian Armed Forces initiated ‘Operation Sindoor’, striking at terrorist infrastructures in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir, from where attacks against India have been orchestrated,” the army stated in a press release.
The Indian Army also tweeted, “Justice is Served. Jai Hind.”
“We targeted a total of nine (9) sites. Our actions have been focused, measured, and non-escalatory. No Pakistani military installations were struck. India has shown significant restraint in our target choices and execution methods,” the army added.
This response follows the heinous Pahalgam terrorist attack where 25 Indians and one Nepali citizen lost their lives.
“We are committed to ensuring accountability for those behind this attack. A detailed briefing on ‘Operation Sindoor’ will follow later today,” the army stated.
Meanwhile, the Pakistani Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) Director General Lt Gen Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry confirmed the strike, stating, “The missile strikes were launched by India at Kotli, Bahwalpur, and Muzaffarabad in a cowardly attack amidst heightened tensions following a militant incident in occupied Kashmir.”
The strain between these two nuclear nations escalated following the Pahalgam terror attack that claimed 26 civilian lives, predominantly tourists.
