New Delhi, March 23 (NationPress) As India observes Shaheed Diwas, Union Ministers extended heartfelt tributes to the revolutionaries Bhagat Singh, Shivaram Rajguru, and Sukhdev Thapar, recognizing their ultimate sacrifice for the nation. The leaders stressed that their legacy will continue to motivate future generations.
Union Home Minister Amit Shah, in his tribute on X, stated, "I offer my sincere homage to the martyrs Bhagat Singh, Rajguru, and Sukhdev on Shaheed Diwas, honoring their supreme sacrifice for Mother India."
"These remarkable revolutionaries demonstrated that there is no greater duty than patriotism. Their sacrifice, bravery, and dynamic ideologies sparked the nationwide freedom movement and will persist in inspiring our countrymen for generations to come, reminding us that 'national interest is paramount,'" he added.
BJP National President and Union Minister J.P. Nadda also paid homage to the martyrs, declaring, "I extend my heartfelt tribute to the undying freedom fighters, the brave sons of Mother India, Bhagat Singh, Sukhdev, and Rajguru. Their valor and courage instilled self-respect among the youth and ignited the nationwide freedom struggle. Their sacrifice, struggle, and ideals will always serve as an inspiration to this nation."
Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh also honored the brave souls, calling them "immortal sons of Mother India."
"Their names will forever be inscribed in golden letters among the revolutionaries who gave everything to liberate the nation from colonial oppression. Their unmatched courage and spirit of sacrifice will always motivate us," he remarked.
Union Minister Piyush Goyal underscored the fear these revolutionaries instilled in the ruling British.
"The British would lose their sleep at the mere mention of their names. Bhagat Singh considered service to Mother India as his life’s utmost goal and raised awareness about independence among the populace. Salute to such great figures on their martyrdom day. This nation will remain forever grateful for your dedication," he wrote.
