New Delhi, Nov 8 (NationPress) The Indian Navy is set to commemorate Navy Day 2025 with an extraordinary Operational Demonstration on December 4, 2025, at Shangumugham beach, Thiruvananthapuram.

This event continues the tradition of hosting the celebration outside major Naval bases, having previously taken place in Puri, Odisha, and Sindhudurg, Maharashtra.

Citizens will have an unparalleled chance to observe various aspects of the Indian Navy's multi-domain operations.

According to a press release from the Ministry of Defence, “The Operational Demonstration will highlight the Indian Navy's advanced operational platforms and its commitment as the 'Preferred Security Partner' in the Indian Ocean Region (IOR), aligned with the overarching vision of MAHASAGAR (Mutual and Holistic Advancement for Security and Growth Across Regions).”

This grand event will showcase the Navy’s impressive combat capabilities, technological prowess, and operational readiness, reflecting the nation’s increasing maritime strength and self-sufficiency.

“The Operational Demonstration will include coordinated maneuvers by frontline platforms, symbolizing the Navy’s ability to project power and precision across the maritime spectrum,” the release noted.

The demonstration will emphasize the seamless integration of surface, sub-surface, and aerial assets, showcasing the Navy’s preparedness to protect India’s maritime borders.

In line with the vision of Aatmanirbhar Bharat, the demonstration will feature a variety of locally manufactured assets, representing India’s growing self-reliance in defense production.

“These platforms reflect the Navy’s ongoing efforts under the ‘Make in India’ initiative to develop a modern, technologically advanced, and future-ready maritime force. The celebration will also underscore the Navy’s readiness and deterrent capabilities displayed during Operation Sindoor, reaffirming its ability to strike with precision, speed, and dominance,” it added.

This demonstration is a tribute to the professionalism, discipline, and bravery of the men and women of the Indian Navy who protect the nation’s sovereignty and maritime interests.

Navy Day serves as a reminder of the Navy’s crucial role during the 1971 Indo-Pak War, which dealt a significant blow to enemy naval and coastal defenses.
