The oath-taking ceremony took place on Monday at the court's main bench located in Jodhpur, officiated by Chief Justice M.M. Shrivastava.

The induction of these judges has increased the total number of judges at the Rajasthan High Court to 33. All three appointees are from the 1992 batch of judicial officers.

The ceremony commenced at 10 am in the High Court's main courtroom, where Chief Justice M.M. Shrivastava administered the oath to the newly appointed judges.

Several senior judges from the High Court, including Pushpendra Singh Bhati, Dinesh Mehta, Vineet Kumar Mathur, Birendra Kumar, Manoj Kumar Garg, Munnuri Laxman, Farzand Ali, Rekha Borana, Kuldeep Mathur, Nupur Bhati, and Yogendra Kumar Purohit, were also in attendance at the event.

Previously, in October, the Rajasthan High Court had welcomed three judges transferred from other high courts: Justice Avneesh Jhingan and Justice Arun Monga from the Punjab and Haryana High Court and Justice Munnuri Laxman from the Telangana High Court.

The Rajasthan High Court is authorized to have 50 judges, but currently, only 33 judges are in service, resulting in 17 vacancies.

This year, five judges are scheduled to retire: Justice Pankaj Bhandari and Justice Madan Gopal Vyas in January, Justice Birendra Kumar in May, Justice Narendra Dhadha in September, and Justice Manoj Kumar Garg in November.

The judges from the Jaipur Bench participated in the ceremony via video conferencing.

Attendees included Bar Council officials, the Advocate General of the state, senior advocates, and the Presidents of the Rajasthan High Court Advocates Association and Lawyers Association, Ratnaram Tholia and Anand Purohit, respectively.

The collegium, which includes Justice B.R. Gavai and Justice Surya Kant, convened on December 22 to recommend the three new judges.

After the collegium's recommendations, the Union government officially announced the appointments of the three judges to the Rajasthan High Court on Thursday.

Recent retirements of two judges had impacted the court's case disposal rate. With the addition of the new judges, it is anticipated that the resolution of pending cases will be expedited.
