Among those detained, six were caught for distributing cocaine, while the remaining three were arrested for selling Meow-Meow (MD) drugs.
The authorities confiscated a locally made pistol alongside six live cartridges, 286 grams of cocaine, 11 Ecstasy pills, and 12 mobile devices, all valued at approximately Rs 85 lakh.
Police Commissioner C. V. Anand informed reporters that two inter-state drug traffickers and a local dealer were caught with 100 grams of Meow-Meow, a firearm, six rounds of ammunition, and empty bullet casings. They also had three mobile phones in their possession.
The inter-state traffickers were identified as Pawan Bhati, also known as Raja, and Hemsingh Kachhawa, known as Hemu, both hailing from Rajasthan. The local dealer, Jeetendara Panwar, originally from Rajasthan, now resides in Hyderabad.
In another coordinated effort, H-NEW and Golconda Police apprehended four more inter-state drug traffickers, one local dealer, and several users, seizing 276 grams of cocaine and eight mobile phones, all worth around Rs 69 lakh.
The inter-state traffickers include Mujaffar Wahid Shaikh, Vinod Kishanlal Shrivasthav, Chaitanya Vinayak Wagh, and Mustak Khan, all from Maharashtra. A local software employee named Prem assisted them in selling drugs to clients. The users were identified as Ravi Kumar Varma and Sachin, both of whom are businessmen.
In a separate operation with Bollarum Police, H-NEW detained a cocaine dealer, seizing 10 grams of cocaine, 11 ecstasy pills weighing six grams, and one mobile phone, with a total worth of Rs 3.10 lakh.
The accused, Harshavardhan, also a software employee in Hyderabad, reportedly turned to drug peddling after facing personal challenges. Initially a B.Tech graduate, he began consuming drugs socially and eventually started selling cocaine, which he sourced from Bangalore.
The Police Commissioner also announced that the process to deport two foreign nationals involved in drug trafficking has commenced.
According to Anand, this action aims to prevent foreign nationals from engaging in activities that threaten national security.
The individuals, identified as Aful Clement (alias Aful David, aged 29) and Lazarus Chinwenmeri Favour (aged 19), are Nigerian nationals.
Investigations revealed that Aful Clement entered India on a business visa and had previously been arrested in Chandigarh for fraud. This month, he and Favour, who entered India on a student visa, came to Bangalore to distribute drugs. They were apprehended while operating under the jurisdiction of Tolichowki Police Station in a suspicious manner.
