Patna, Sep 4 (NationPress) The Chief Minister of Bihar, Nitish Kumar, on Thursday, laid the foundation stone and launched initiatives for 27 development projects totaling Rs 1203.81 crore in the Saran district, thereby honoring commitments made during his Pragati Yatra.
These initiatives encompass critical infrastructure and energy projects, including the establishment of a Grid Substation in Chhapra and a 132 KV transmission line. Additionally, re-conductor work is being undertaken to enhance the electricity supply, along with development plans for the Ekma-Mashrakh Path and the Chhapra section of NH-19.
The foundation stone was also laid for the improvement of the Ekma to Dumaigarh Path and the Khaira Bin Tolia Path, which includes widening efforts and the establishment of five new line 'bays' at the Ekma, Sheetalpur, and Mashrakh Grid Substations.
These projects are designed to enhance power infrastructure and road connectivity, ensuring smoother traffic flow and improved services for the residents of Saran.
Nitish Kumar stated that the state government moved rapidly to approve and initiate work on all the projects disclosed during his Pragati Yatra.
“We have approved all the schemes in record time and commenced work. The government is dedicated to fulfilling every announcement,” he noted.
Earlier that day, the Chief Minister participated in a dialogue session at Ratanpur Bintoliya, where he engaged with beneficiaries of the social security pension scheme, members of Jeevika (self-help groups), electricity consumers, and recipients of other welfare initiatives.
The amount for the Social Security Pension Scheme has increased from Rs 400 to Rs 1100.
Every domestic consumer now receives 125 units of free electricity.
Numerous new decisions have been enacted for the welfare and empowerment of Jeevika Didis (women in self-help groups).
Those present at the event expressed their satisfaction and gratitude for these new initiatives.
Nitish Kumar also spoke with local workers, listened to their concerns and suggestions, and instructed officials to respond promptly.
“Our priority is to guarantee that government benefits reach every household. We will act swiftly on the issues raised by workers,” the Chief Minister remarked.
