Bengaluru, Jan 13 (NationPress) Congress General Secretary Randeep Singh Surjewala stated on Monday that Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and his deputy D.K. Shivakumar are focused like Arjun, emphasizing that there is no internal discord within the state unit of the grand old party.
During a press conference, Surjewala remarked: "Our party leaders, be it Siddaramaiah or Shivakumar, are concentrated like Arjun on their objectives. Their goal is to effectively implement the guarantee schemes and manage the government proficiently. In contrast, the BJP is unjustly criticizing the guarantee schemes to sow confusion among the populace."
Addressing comments made by minister K.N. Rajanna towards the party high command and the state unit president, he stated: "This inquiry has been posed twice already. If I were to reply, I would assert that everything is chaotic within the BJP."
"They themselves are uncertain about who their leader is -- whether it be BJP MLAs Basanagouda Patil Yatnal, Ramesh Jarkiholi, the Opposition Leader R. Ashoka, State President B. Y. Vijayendra, National General Secretary B. L. Santosh, Union Minister H. D. Kumaraswamy, or former CM and BJP MP Basavaraj Bommai."
"While their party grapples with internal discord, they have no right to dwell in a glass house throwing stones at others. The BJP is instigating unnecessary turmoil to mask its shortcomings," Surjewala asserted.
When asked about the absence of Ministers Rajanna and G. Parameshwara during the meeting he attended with other state unit leaders, he replied: "Parameshwara has been the Congress president and has steered the party. He is well-acquainted with the discipline within the party. I have already conveyed my message to our leaders internally."
On the Raipur Resolution, which indicates that one person should hold only one position, he explained: "Yes, this decision was made. However, under exceptional circumstances, this rule may need to be relaxed."
He added: "We have arranged the 'Jai Bapu, Jai Bhim, Jai Constitution' convention in Belagavi on January 21. We have already clarified the purpose of this convention. Furthermore, the KPCC President and the Chief Minister have resolved to establish 100 Gandhi Bharat offices throughout the state.
"Next month, in February, AICC President Mallikarjun Kharge will lay the foundation stones for all these offices in Bengaluru. Locations for 74 offices have already been pinpointed, and the party will soon finalize the remaining ones."
