Bhubaneswar, May 10 (NationPress) The government of Odisha has conducted a series of discussions with experts from diverse fields during a significant workshop aimed at refining the ambitious 'Odisha Vision 2036 and 2047' document. This comprehensive roadmap aims to realize the objective of a well-developed Odisha by 2036.
Among the attendees were Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi, Deputy Chief Minister Pravati Parida, several prominent Cabinet Ministers, Chief Secretary, senior bureaucrats, industry leaders, and notable figures from various sectors who gathered for the event on Friday.
The workshop's primary aim was to discuss Odisha's strategic plan to rank among the top five developed states in India by 2036, which coincides with the state’s centenary year.
In a statement to the press, CM Majhi expressed that the government will craft a detailed roadmap for a prosperous Odisha by incorporating suggestions from Ministers, senior political figures, former bureaucrats, and other experts who participated in the workshop.
“We are concentrating on 36 critical projects across various sectors to fuel Odisha's transformation by 2036. Our ambition is to align with Prime Minister Narendra Modi's vision of a 'Viksit Bharat' by 2047. Odisha must lead in collective and inclusive growth,” the Chief Minister emphasized during his address.
Furthermore, the state government has received over 3.2 lakh suggestions from the public to influence the vision documents.
CM Majhi mentioned that Odisha is the first state in the nation to prepare such an ambitious vision document, using data and public feedback analyzed with the aid of Artificial Intelligence.
Emphasizing the state’s economic aspirations, the Chief Minister stated, “Odisha possesses vast potential, and we are progressing toward achieving a $500 billion economy. The development of all sectors is our primary agenda.”
CM Majhi also highlighted that Odisha will play a pivotal role in realizing the objective of a 'Viksit Bharat' by 2047.
The Chief Minister announced that three regional consultation workshops will soon take place in Sambalpur, Balasore, and Jeypore to engage with experts on the vision document.
The Odisha government had previously stated on April 23 that the vision document for 2036 and 2047 would be finalized within the next 15 days.
