What is Operation Sindoor Outreach: Second All-Party Delegation Leaves for UAE?

New Delhi, May 22 (NationPress) India has initiated its global endeavor ‘Operation Sindoor Outreach', dispatching its initial two groups of high-level, multi-party delegations to Japan and the United Arab Emirates as part of a five-nation expedition aimed at establishing global consensus against terrorism and isolating Pakistan along with the terrorist organizations that operate from its territory and contribute to terrorism.

The second delegation, which departed from the national capital on Wednesday, is spearheaded by Shiv Sena MP Shrikant Shinde.

This delegation will be visiting the UAE, Liberia, Congo, and Sierra Leone, and comprises BJP MPs Bansuri Swaraj, Atul Garg, and Manan Kumar Mishra, along with BJD's Sasmit Patra, IUML MP E.T. Mohammed Basheer, BJP leader S.S. Ahluwalia, and former Ambassador Sujan Chinoy.

Shinde remarked that this presents a significant opportunity for the entire team to convey India's message.

"United in the fight against terrorism. The 2nd group of All Party Delegation led by Shiv Sena MP Shrikant Eknath Shinde has departed New Delhi. The delegation will be visiting the United Arab Emirates, Congo, Sierra Leone, and Liberia to communicate India's firm stance of zero tolerance against terrorism and to inform about #OperationSindoor," stated Randhir Jaiswal, the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) Spokesperson, late Wednesday evening in a post on X.

The first delegation of Indian parliamentarians, led by Janata Dal-United MP Sanjay Kumar Jha, also departed New Delhi with a clear message: India's zero tolerance policy towards terrorism.

This group includes a diverse range of leaders from various political parties such as former External Affairs Minister and Congress leader Salman Khurshid, CPI-M MP John Brittas, and BJP MPs Aparajita Sarangi, Brij Lal, Pradan Baruah, Hemang Joshi, along with Trinamool Congress's Abhishek Banerjee and Ambassador Mohan Kumar.

They are set to visit Japan, South Korea, Singapore, Indonesia, and Malaysia, with their first stop in Tokyo on May 23.

The group will travel to Seoul on May 24, Singapore on May 27, Jakarta on May 28, and Kuala Lumpur on May 31.

"Zero tolerance against terrorism! The first group of All Party Delegation led by JD(U) MP Sanjay Kumar Jha has embarked on a 5-nation tour as part of India's diplomatic outreach on #OperationSindoor. The delegation will be visiting Indonesia, Malaysia, the Republic of Korea, Japan, and Singapore to assert India's commitment to combating terrorism in all its forms," remarked MEA Spokesperson Jaiswal.

Seven such delegations, consisting of 59 Members of Parliament, former Ministers, and diplomats, will be dispatched to 33 countries between May 21 and June 5.

This initiative, guided by the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA), marks India's first unified political front to counter international narratives surrounding terrorism.

Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri personally updated the delegations, underlining India's evolving approach.

"India has endured four decades of cross-border terrorism. Our current response embodies a new standard—there is no room for ambiguity or appeasement," he stated.

Misri dismissed Pakistan's recent suggestion for a joint investigation into the Pahalgam terror attack, labeling it as “absurd”.

"Requesting Pakistan to co-investigate terror assaults on Indian territory is akin to asking a thief to probe his own offenses," he remarked.

Each delegation carries classified intelligence dossiers, including evidence from the recent Operation Sindoor, which targeted terror launchpads across the Line of Control (LoC).

These MPs and diplomats will engage with foreign governments, lawmakers, think tanks, media, civil society groups, the Indian diaspora, and international institutions such as the United Nations. Their aim is to present documented evidence of Pakistan's military and intelligence involvement in promoting terrorism through groups like Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) and Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM).

From Tokyo to Washington, the outreach sends a powerful message: “Terrorism anywhere is a threat to peace everywhere.”

Through Operation Sindoor, India is not merely safeguarding its borders but also shaping the global dialogue, emphasizing that safe havens for terrorists must cease, and their enablers must face accountability.
