New Delhi, May 9 (NationPress) Women officers from the Indian Armed Forces have made a shocking revelation regarding Pakistan’s malicious strategy amidst the ongoing military standoff. They disclosed to the media that the Pakistani army launched approximately 300-400 drones during the nights of May 8 and 9, targeting around 36 locations along the Western border. These drones are reportedly manufactured in Turkey, although concrete evidence is still pending.
Colonel Sofiya Qureshi and Wing Commander Vyomika Singh, during a special press briefing conducted by the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) on 'Operation Sindoor', explained that the large-scale drone incursions aimed to test India’s air defense capabilities and gather intelligence.
Last night, Pakistan launched a series of drone and missile attacks on multiple cities, including military sites. However, India's formidable air defense system successfully repelled all attempts, leaving the Pakistani Army in a state of confusion and alarm.
The officers further stated that forensic analysis of the drone wreckage is underway, with preliminary findings indicating that they are Turkish Asisguard Songar drones.
Colonel Qureshi remarked, "On the night of May 7 and 8, the Pakistani military repeatedly violated Indian airspace across the western border, aiming to strike military infrastructure. They also fired heavy-caliber weaponry along the Line of Control, but all their endeavors were effectively neutralized by our forces through both kinetic and non-kinetic responses."
Wing Commander Singh added that a Pakistani armed UAV attempted to strike the Bhatinda military station, but it was detected and neutralized promptly.
In retaliation, the Indian forces deployed armed drones targeting four air defense sites in Pakistan, successfully destroying one of their AD radars.
