Indore, April 27 (NationPress) In a subtle critique of the former Congress administration, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav asserted that the prior government had squandered the opportunity to tap into the entrepreneurial spirit, skills, and intellect of the Indian populace.
“Yet, under the guidance of our visionary Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the narrative has dramatically transformed,” he remarked.
He further added, “Even individuals from Pakistan, India’s historical rival, are now openly suggesting that had Modi been their Prime Minister, their nation would have progressed further and avoided many of its current challenges.”
These comments were made during a speech at the prestigious ‘MP Tech Growth Conclave 2025’ held at the Brilliant Convention Centre in Indore on Sunday, aimed at attracting IT investors.
The Chief Minister equated industry with a temple, highlighting its importance in generating employment and serving humanity.
He also pointed to Israel as a case study, a nation with a smaller population that has achieved significant growth despite gaining independence around the same period as India.
“In those times, the dollar and rupee were equal,” he noted, emphasizing India’s former economic prowess.
“Times have evolved, and India is now embracing its identity as a technology-driven nation. If countries like Israel, Japan, and Germany can witness remarkable progress despite the catastrophic impacts of World War II, there's no reason we can't,” the Chief Minister stated.
During the event, he unveiled plans for a massive Electronic Manufacturing Cluster in Barasia, near Bhopal, covering 209 hectares. This initiative is anticipated to draw an investment of Rs 1,500 crore and aims to establish the area as an electronics hub while providing world-class facilities for investors in mobile phones, semiconductors, and other devices. He added, “This project is expected to create 75,000 direct and indirect jobs under the ‘Make in Madhya Pradesh’ initiative.”
The state is also moving forward with a ‘Space Tech policy’ to establish Madhya Pradesh as a frontrunner in space technology and commercial space ventures, Yadav noted.
Cybersecurity excellence centers, data protection initiatives, and training programs are poised to usher the state into a new technological era, he mentioned.
Moreover, an Agritech excellence center in collaboration with ICAR (Indian Council for Agriculture Research) and an IT park in Pardesipura, Indore, is being established to foster growth.
With 18 employment-oriented policies, the Chief Minister reiterated the state’s commitment to innovation, progress, and creating opportunities for its citizens.
“Madhya Pradesh is positioning itself as a leader in semiconductor technology, drone innovation, and IT infrastructure,” he concluded, emphasizing the state’s vision for a robust and future-ready ecosystem.
