New Delhi, May 2 (NationPress) Pro-Khalistani terrorist Gurpatwant Singh Pannun has called on Sikh soldiers in the Indian Army to refrain from combat should a war erupt between India and Pakistan, asserting that Islamabad is a "friendly" nation for Sikhs and Khalistan.
"If India engages in conflict with Pakistan, it will signify the final war for India and PM Modi. The Punjabis on the Indian side would offer langar to the Pakistani army," Pannun stated in a video message, as reported by the Dawn.
In another incendiary video, he declared that if India retaliates against Pakistan following the Pahalgam attack, it would lead to a "final war" for New Delhi and Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
The leader of 'Sikhs For Justice' further insisted that Punjabis on India's side of the border would serve langar to the Pakistani forces in the scenario of war.
In his message directed at Sikh soldiers, Pannun claimed that Pakistan was not an adversary but rather a friendly state, which would become "our neighbour once we liberate Punjab."
"It is time to reject Narendra Modi's jingoistic war. Do not engage against Pakistan. Pakistan is not your enemy. It is a friendly nation for Sikhs and for Khalistan. After we free Punjab, Pakistan will be our neighbour," he continued.
Tensions have escalated between India and Pakistan following last week's devastating Pahalgam terror attack that resulted in the deaths of 26 individuals in the Jammu and Kashmir resort area, including 25 Indians.
Prime Minister Modi has granted full operational latitude to the Indian armed forces to decide the timing, targets, and methods of the country's response to this cowardly attack.
In this context, Gurpatwant Singh Pannun appears to be attempting to provoke Sikh soldiers. His assertions regarding Sikhs and Punjabis lack substantiation and seem to be a desperate tactic.
Various Pakistani ministers have suggested that Indian military action is imminent. The Pakistani stock market plummeted on Wednesday amidst these reports, although there has been no response from India.
Pannun also brazenly claimed, "This is Narendra Modi's government that is behind the Pahalgam Hindu massacre."
On April 22, 26 people, including one Nepali national, were killed by terrorists in Baisaran Valley in Pahalgam, fueling nationwide outrage and international condemnation.
The Pakistan-based terror outfit Lashkar-e-Toiba's offshoot, The Resistance Front, initially took responsibility for the attack; however, as India ramped up its retaliatory preparations, the group denied its involvement.
