New Delhi, March 3 (NationPress) In alignment with the "Seva Sankalp Resolution" adopted by the Union Cabinet during its inaugural meeting at "Seva Teerth", the Ministry of Parliamentary Affairs organized a gathering of its officials to formally pledge their commitment to the principles of 'Seva', meaning service, as announced on Tuesday.

The assembly took place on Monday, led by Secretary of the Ministry of Parliamentary Affairs, Nikunja Bihari Dhal, according to an official statement.

During his address, the Secretary stressed the importance of shifting from a "sense of entitlement" to a "sense of service" within public administration.

He highlighted that citizens should remain central to every decision and action, asserting that governance must be characterized by dedication, integrity, and responsiveness.

Secretary Dhal pointed out the necessity of executing official responsibilities with sincerity and commitment, encouraging officials to strive for a lasting institutional legacy.

The statement continued by noting that achievements over the past twelve years aimed at realizing the vision of 'Viksit Bharat' were reviewed. Discussions also covered various structural changes and reforms being implemented across governmental departments.

Moreover, the meeting emphasized enhancing transparency, accountability, timely completion of tasks, and effective collaboration in fulfilling parliamentary and administrative duties.

Officials reiterated their dedication to embodying the spirit of Seva and pursuing citizen-focused governance to realize the aspirations of 'Viksit Bharat' as outlined in the Resolution.

A similar pledge was taken in other Central government offices, where officials recited the three-page resolution approved by the Union Cabinet during its first meeting at the new Prime Minister's Office (PMO) at Seva Teerth last week.

The Seva Sankalp Resolution serves as a mission statement for the Union government, reflecting Prime Minister Narendra Modi's vision for national development and serving the 1.4 billion citizens of India.

In a related initiative, to celebrate Prime Minister Modi's birthday on September 17 last year, volunteers on the NaMo App initiated a unique 15-day digital volunteering program as part of Seva Parv 2025.

The celebrations for 'Seva Parv 2025' are set to continue until October 2025, honoring PM Modi's lifelong dedication to the spirit of service to the nation.

During this period, 'Seva Parv 2025' featured a series of interactive experiences on the NaMo App, inviting citizens and party workers to engage in acts of service in commemoration of PM Modi's birthday.
