He also immersed holy water from the Triveni Sangam that he brought back from the Maha Kumbh Mela in Prayagraj.
The residents of Mauritius expressed their joy regarding this gesture while speaking to IANS, extending their gratitude to PM Modi for his actions.
Jessica Seesunkar, Secretary of Sanatan Rakshak Voice of Hindu, remarked, "I want to convey to all Mauritians and Indians that we are profoundly thankful to Prime Minister Modi for his visit to our homeland. He has accomplished a great deal for us over the years. The people of India are akin to family for us. There is a bond of friendship and brotherhood between our nations. As long as Modi ji is in leadership, our world will remain secure."
She added, "We all desired to participate in the Maha Kumbh Mela, but unfortunately couldn't. PM Modi brought Gangajal from the Maha Kumbh to Mauritius for our benefit. This is an extraordinary blessing for us. Words cannot express our gratitude. I have never witnessed anyone doing as much for India, Mauritius, and the globe as he does."
The chief trustee and supervisor of the temple, Satish Dayal, stated, "Ganga Talao is a sacred site. PM Modi brought the water from the Maha Kumbh here, which is of immense significance. Each time he visits Mauritius, he brings Gangajal and immerses it in the Talao. Many Mauritians traveled to the Maha Kumbh Mela, but for those who could not attend, PM Modi has provided the water from the Triveni Sangam here."
Another local expressed joy, saying, "PM Modi has visited Mauritius for the second time. He brought water from the Maha Kumbh and immersed it in Ganga Talao. The sanctity of Ganga Talao has been enhanced by the water from the Maha Kumbh. PM Modi serves as an inspiration for us. He has contributed significantly to Hindus and Hindutva."
