Jammu, June 6 (NationPress) On Friday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the Vande Bharat train service from Katra to Srinagar in Jammu and Kashmir, greeted by a crowd of excited locals.

At the Katra railway station, the PM interacted with children on the train, listening to their thoughts on this new service before he waved a green flag to mark the official start.

As the train departed from Katra, chants of ‘Bharat Mata Ki Jai’ filled the air.

The Vande Bharat train boasts advanced facilities designed to withstand the challenging weather conditions of the union territory.

Earlier in the day, PM Modi also inaugurated the Chenab Railway Bridge, following a visit to a photo exhibition that showcased the technical challenges encountered during its construction.

He engaged with the engineers and skilled workers who overcame significant obstacles in weather and terrain to complete the world’s tallest bridge at 359 meters, standing 35 meters taller than the Eiffel Tower in Paris.

The PM praised the team for their determination to finish the bridge in record time, highlighting it as a feat of engineering excellence.
