He noted that while the platform may be contemporary, a constant sense of spirituality is palpable.

During the 130th episode of his monthly radio program, 'Mann Ki Baat', PM Modi remarked, “Bhajans and kirtans have long been the essence of our culture. We have listened to them in temples and during kathas, with each era reflecting devotion in its own way.”

He acknowledged that today’s youth are achieving remarkable things, saying, “This generation has infused the essence of devotion into their daily lives. This mindset has sparked a new cultural trend, as seen in numerous videos across social media.”

“Youth are congregating in various cities nationwide, with stages adorned with lighting and music, creating an atmosphere akin to a concert. What is performed there, however, are bhajans sung with intense focus, dedication, and rhythm. This trend, termed 'bhajan clubbing', is gaining traction, especially among Gen Z,” the Prime Minister added.

He praised the younger generation for maintaining the decorum of words and emotions, as well as the purity of the devotional songs in these 'bhajan clubbing' events.
