New Delhi, Feb 27 (NationPress) Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed his desire for forgiveness regarding any inadequacies observed during the Maha Kumbh. In a heartfelt blog post, he conveyed that if the administration has not adequately served the Goddess and her devotees, he sincerely apologizes.
"I understand that organizing such a monumental event is no small task. I offer my prayers to Maa Ganga, Maa Yamuna, and Maa Saraswati. O Maa, if we have failed in our worship, please grant us your forgiveness. If we have not fulfilled our duty to the devotees, who are like God to me, I ask for forgiveness from the people as well," PM Modi wrote in Hindi.
He noted that his commitment to the purity and cleanliness of rivers has been reinforced.
"When I visited Kashi for the elections, I expressed my innermost feelings with the words, and I said -- Maa Ganga has summoned me. There was also a sense of obligation concerning the purity and cleanliness of our mother rivers. At the confluence of Ganga-Yamuna-Saraswati in Prayagraj, my resolve has intensified. The cleanliness of Ganga ji and Yamuna ji is intertwined with our life journey. It is our duty that whether a river is small or large, we regard every river as a life-giving mother and celebrate river festivals at our convenience. This Maha Kumbh of unity has motivated us to maintain the cleanliness of our rivers and to continually strengthen this initiative.
He commended the successful conclusion of the Maha Kumbh in Prayagraj and emphasized the need for India to "unite and come together for the Maha Yagya of a Viksit Bharat."
In his blog about the Maha Kumbh, he acknowledged the unwavering dedication of the Centre, the state government, and the locals of Prayagraj in serving devotees from all over the country during this grand event that occurs once every 144 years.
He reiterated that India must "unite and come together for the Maha Yagya of a Viksit Bharat."
"Now, this complete Maha Kumbh held after 144 years has sent forth a message of a new chapter in India's development journey. This message is about a 'Viksit Bharat.'"
Encouraging unity among the people to elevate India, the PM stated, "Just as in the Maha Kumbh of unity, every devotee, whether poor or rich, young or old, from the country or abroad, rural or urban, from east to west, north to south, of any caste or ideology, all united for a Maha Yagya in the Maha Kumbh of unity. This unforgettable scene of one India, great India, became a grand festival of self-confidence for millions of countrymen. Now, we must unite and come together for the Maha Yagya of a Viksit Bharat."
