Mumbai, Oct 29 (NationPress) Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to arrive in Mumbai on Wednesday to address the Maritime Leaders Conclave and preside over the Global Maritime CEO Forum at the India Maritime Week (IMW) 2025.
The Global Maritime CEO Forum, which is the flagship gathering of India Maritime Week 2025, will convene CEOs from prominent maritime corporations, influential investors, policy makers, innovators, and global partners to discuss the future of the maritime landscape.
This forum will act as a crucial platform to engage in discussions regarding sustainable maritime development, resilient supply chains, green shipping initiatives, and inclusive blue economy strategies.
The participation of the Prime Minister underscores his unwavering commitment to an ambitious, forward-looking maritime transformation, in line with the Maritime Amrit Kaal Vision 2047.

He elaborated that Prime Minister Modi’s maritime vision is founded on three main pillars: security, stability, and self-reliance.
“Today, India plays a pivotal role as a bridge between the Indo-Pacific and the Global South, leveraging its maritime position, democratic stability, and naval capabilities while advancing development, security, and environmental efforts,” he remarked.
Shah emphasized, “The presence of representatives from over 100 countries at today’s maritime event is a testament to India's maritime traditions, which remain central to global partnerships and regional stability.”
He noted, “India's maritime strength and strategic location are evident from our coastline extending over 11,000 kilometers, encompassing 13 coastal states and Union Territories, with our maritime business significantly contributing to the economy.”
He pointed out how this extensive coastline bolsters trade, logistics, and the blue economy.
