New Delhi, Sep 24 (NationPress) Today, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will officially launch World Food India 2025 at 6 p.m., highlighting India's ambition as a 'Global Food Hub' for both food processing and supply.

This upcoming edition is anticipated to be the largest yet, featuring participation from over 90 countries, more than 2,000 exhibitors, and numerous stakeholders across the entire food value chain, from farm to fork, as stated in an official release.

The event is designed to be one of the most significant gatherings of senior government officials, investors, and prominent business leaders from both global and domestic food industries, along with all relevant stakeholders. It will provide a platform for participants like producers, food processors, equipment manufacturers, logistics providers, cold chain operators, technology developers, startups, and food retailers worldwide to showcase their strengths.

The agenda includes high-level knowledge sessions and panel discussions featuring global thought leaders, policymakers, and industry specialists.

Sector-specific exhibitions will highlight advancements in food processing, packaging, machinery, cold chain solutions, and related industries. Additionally, B2B and B2G networking opportunities will aim to establish strategic partnerships and collaborations.

Attendees can also expect culinary experiences and chef competitions that will celebrate India’s rich food heritage while aligning with global trends in healthy, sustainable, and forward-thinking foods.

Moreover, two notable international events will coincide with WFI 2025, including the 3rd Global Food Regulators Summit hosted by the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) and the 24th India International Seafood Show (IISS) organized by the Seafood Exporters Association of India (SEAI), which will focus on India’s expanding seafood export potential and its connections to the global market.

The vision of Viksit Bharat 2047 aims to establish India as a developed, inclusive, and globally competitive nation, with WFI 2025 being a vital component in enhancing the food processing sector.

This event will unify technology, investment, and innovation to elevate rural prosperity, improve farmers' incomes, minimize post-harvest losses, and generate employment opportunities in Tier-2 and Tier-3 cities.

WFI 2025 is anchored on five strategic pillars: sustainability, infrastructure, entrepreneurship, global leadership, and innovation. It focuses on climate-smart technologies, nutrition-centric products, cutting-edge food technology, and global market integration, all while promoting micro-enterprises, capacity building, and the Make in India initiative, marking a significant milestone towards achieving Vision 2047.

In this edition, New Zealand and Saudi Arabia will be recognized as Partner Countries, while Japan, UAE, Vietnam, and Russia will be designated as Focus Countries, reflecting India’s expanding international collaboration in the food sector. Their participation will enhance bilateral relations, foster knowledge sharing, and open new avenues for trade and investment.
