What Major Projects Will PM Modi Launch During His Two-Day Tour?

New Delhi, May 28 (NationPress) Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set for an intense schedule as he begins a two-day visit covering four states, starting with Sikkim on Thursday. During this tour, PM Modi will lay the groundwork and inaugurate numerous projects across Bihar, West Bengal, and Uttar Pradesh, with a total investment nearing Rs 70,000 crore.

Over the next two days, he will engage with the public through various rallies and roadshows.

The Prime Minister is expected to intensify his remarks against Pakistan and commemorate the achievements of Operation Sindoor during his speeches, especially in Bihar, where he first publicly vowed for robust retaliation against Pakistan for its support of terrorism on Indian soil.

On May 29 and 30, PM Modi will visit Sikkim, West Bengal, Bihar, and Uttar Pradesh.

On May 29, he will be in Sikkim to celebrate the golden jubilee of its statehood. He will lay the foundation stone and inaugurate various development projects in Sikkim, addressing the public as well. Following this, he will head to West Bengal and then to Bihar to inaugurate the new terminal building at Patna Airport by evening.

On May 30, PM Modi will launch several development initiatives valued at more than Rs 48,520 crore in Karakat, Bihar, and will address a public function. Next, he will travel to Uttar Pradesh to lay the foundation stone and inaugurate several projects totaling around Rs 20,900 crore. He will also address another public event.

In Sikkim, marking 50 years of statehood, PM Modi will partake in the event titled 'Sikkim@50: Where Progress Meets Purpose and Nature Nurtures Growth'. The state government has organized various activities under the theme “Sunaulo, Samriddha and Samarth Sikkim,” celebrating the rich cultural heritage, traditions, natural beauty, and history of Sikkim.

During his visit to Sikkim, the Prime Minister will launch significant projects, including a 500-bedded district hospital in Namchi district, a passenger ropeway at Sangachoeling, and a statue of Bharat Ratna Atal Bihari Vajpayee at Atal Amrit Udyan in Gangtok. Additionally, he will unveil a commemorative coin, a souvenir coin, and a stamp celebrating 50 years of statehood.

In West Bengal, PM Modi's visit will focus on launching the City Gas Distribution (CGD) network. He will lay the foundation for the CGD project in Alipurduar and Cooch Behar districts.

This project, valued at over Rs 1,010 crore, aims to supply Piped Natural Gas (PNG) to more than 2.5 lakh households, over 100 commercial entities, and industries, while also establishing around 19 CNG stations as part of the government's Minimum Work Program (MWP).

In Bihar, PM Modi will inaugurate the newly completed passenger terminal at Patna Airport, built at a cost of approximately Rs 1,200 crore, and lay the foundation for the new civil enclave at Bihta Airport, which is valued at over Rs 1,410 crore.

On May 30, he will dedicate several development projects totaling over Rs 48,520 crore in Karakat. He will also lay the groundwork for the Nabinagar Super Thermal Power Project, Stage-II (3x800 MW) in Aurangabad district, which is projected to cost over Rs 29,930 crore and aims to ensure energy security for Bihar.

The third rail line between Son Nagar and Mohammad Ganj, valued at over Rs 1,330 crore, will also be dedicated to the nation by the Prime Minister.

In Uttar Pradesh, he will inaugurate the Chunniganj Metro Station to Kanpur Central Metro Station section of the Kanpur Metro Rail Project, worth over Rs 2,120 crore, and will initiate road widening and strengthening work on G.T. Road.

He will lay the foundation for a 220 KV substation at Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA), Gautam Buddha Nagar, to meet the region's increasing energy demands and inaugurate 132 kV substations valued at over Rs 320 crore at Ecotech-8 and Ecotech-10 in Greater Noida.

Other power projects to be launched include the 660 MW Panki Thermal Power Extension Project in Kanpur, valued at over Rs 8,300 crore, and three 660 MW units of the Ghatampur Thermal Power Project, costing over Rs 9,330 crore.

PM Modi will also distribute certificates and cheques to beneficiaries of the PM Ayushman Vay Vandana Yojna, National Livelihood Mission, and PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana.
