Prayagraj, Feb 5 (NationPress) As Prime Minister Narendra Modi embarked on a significant 'holy dip' at the Triveni Sangam in Prayagraj, where the Maha Kumbh is currently underway, the tranquil yet impactful sight of the leader clad in vibrant saffron and blue was truly remarkable.
Clutching rudraksha beads, PM Modi immersed himself in the sacred confluence of the Ganga, Yamuna, and the mythological Saraswati, reciting prayers and taking multiple full-body dips in the hallowed waters.
In an interview with IANS, Pandit Rajesh Kumar Tiwari, Acharya Tirthpurohit of Prayagraj, elaborated on the PM’s spiritual journey, emphasizing the profound significance of this occasion.
“Today, Prime Minister Narendra Modi took 11 dips in the sacred waters of the Sangam Triveni Ghat. He chanted 108 mantras with immense devotion, and the entire experience was awe-inspiring. Witnessing someone in such a high position exhibit such humility and reverence for the divine is extraordinary,” he remarked.
Pandit Tiwari further observed that PM Modi's visit was executed with utmost care and respect.
“PM Modi arrived in Prayagraj and was escorted to the Triveni Sangam by CM Yogi. He performed the holy dip and prayed for the blessings of Maa Ganga as well as for the well-being and prosperity of all citizens,” Tiwari noted.
On the auspicious day of Ashtami, Pandit Tiwari also commented on PM Modi’s ongoing devotion to the Kumbh Mela.
“PM Modi had visited in 2019 on Ashtami and taken a sacred dip, and just before the commencement of this year’s Maha Kumbh on January 13, he performed Puja and Archana with two other Pandits,” he added.
What stood out most, according to Pandit Tiwari, was the Prime Minister’s simplicity and profound spiritual connection.
“Despite his elevated status, PM Modi approached this event without any special arrangements. He humbly worshipped and made offerings to Maa Ganga, which included fruits, curd, and milk. This humility, even amidst immense leadership, distinguishes him from all other leaders,” he concluded.
