Patna, Oct 15 (NationPress) As the 2025 Bihar Assembly elections draw closer, Prashant Kishor, who is both an election strategist and the founder of Jan Suraj, has decisively laid to rest rumors regarding his candidacy. He firmly stated that he will not run for any Assembly seat this time around, prioritizing the enhancement of Jan Suraj’s organizational framework and ensuring its triumph through strategic planning and groundwork.
In his conversation with the press, Kishor remarked, “No, I will not be contesting the elections. I will adhere to the party’s decision. My focus will remain on the organizational tasks I have been engaged in to benefit the party.”
With ambitious aspirations, Kishor asserted that if Jan Suraj does not secure at least 150 seats, he would view it as a personal shortcoming. Conversely, surpassing that threshold would signify a victory for the people of Bihar.
He emphasized that his aim is not to seize power but to redirect Bihar towards a brighter future.
Kishor portrayed Jan Suraj as a movement advocating for transparent politics, accountability, and development, stating, “If a Jan Suraj government is established, it will signify a monumental shift in Bihar’s political landscape.”
He disclosed that, if elected, his administration plans to implement a new law targeting the 100 most corrupt leaders and officials in the state.
“This serves as a warning to those who hope Jan Suraj never attains power. Their difficult times will commence the day we assume office,” he added.
For several months, there had been speculation that Kishor would challenge BJP leaders Samrat Choudhary and Mangal Pandey, as he had previously vowed to confront them.
However, following the BJP's finalization of both names on its list, Kishor clarified his withdrawal from the race.
The election strategist also launched a scathing critique of RJD chief and former Chief Minister Lalu Prasad Yadav and his family, accusing them of a long-standing pattern of corruption.
“There are numerous allegations and charge sheets against the Lalu family that people hardly pay attention to anymore. The RJD and the Lalu family have engaged in so many scams that they have become mundane. This is why Bihar urgently requires new political leadership,” he stated.
Kishor reiterated that the Jan Suraj campaign transcends mere electoral victories; it aims to establish a paradigm of honest and developmental governance.
