New Delhi, July 21 (NationPress) On Monday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi sent heartfelt birthday wishes to Mallikarjun Kharge, the National President of Congress, expressing hopes for his long and healthy life.
Born on July 21, 1942, in Varawatti village of Bhalki Taluk, in the Bidar district of Karnataka, Kharge comes from a Dalit family and has had a remarkable political career spanning decades.
Since 2022, he has been at the helm of the Indian National Congress and has served as the Leader of Opposition in the Rajya Sabha since 2021. As a Rajya Sabha MP representing Karnataka, he has been in Parliament since 2020.
