New Delhi, Oct 7 (NationPress) Following the tragic loss of 18 passengers when a private bus was struck by a landslide in Bilaspur, Himachal Pradesh, President Droupadi Murmu conveyed her heartfelt condolences to the victims' families and wished for the swift recovery of the injured.
“The report of multiple fatalities in a bus accident triggered by a landslide in Bilaspur is profoundly heartbreaking. I extend my sympathies to the families mourning their loved ones and pray for the quick recovery of the injured,” the President stated on X.
Likewise, Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed his sorrow for the families affected by this devastating incident and announced a compensation of Rs. 2 lakh from the PMNRF for the kin of each deceased, while the injured would receive Rs. 50,000.
“Deeply saddened by the loss of lives in the mishap in Bilaspur, Himachal Pradesh. My thoughts are with the victims and their families during this trying time. I pray for the swift recovery of the injured.
