Chandigarh, Jan 24 (NationPress) The Governor of Punjab and Chandigarh Administrator, Gulab Chand Kataria, emphasized the necessity for collective action to tackle the drug crisis, especially in Punjab.

While addressing an audience, the Governor voiced his alarm regarding the rising issue of drug abuse.

The Anti-Drug Programme, organized by the National Commission for Women, aimed at enhancing awareness and promoting a cooperative strategy to effectively confront this societal challenge.

Governor Kataria pointed out that although drug abuse is a national concern, Punjab is particularly vulnerable, highlighting the urgency of the situation.

“The devastation caused by drug abuse is affecting lives and families. The magnitude of this issue in Punjab demands immediate and coordinated action. It is crucial for religious, social organizations, and educational institutions to unite in addressing this crisis,” stated the Governor.
