Chandigarh, Dec 10 (NationPress) As the zila parishad and panchayat samiti elections approach, Punjab's Director General of Police (DGP) Gaurav Yadav announced on Wednesday that the police force is thoroughly prepared to guarantee free, fair, and peaceful elections in the state, with a deployment of more than 44,000 personnel.

The elections will take place on December 14, with results to be unveiled following the vote counting on December 17.

Highlighting the importance of fostering a positive environment in the state, DGP Yadav instructed police officers to implement professional policing and to rigorously follow the Model Code of Conduct.
