Rajasthan Government's Dedication to Advancing Women and Children: CM Bhajan Lal Sharma

Jaipur, January 11 (NationPress) Highlighting that the progress of a nation is fundamentally linked to the development of women and children, Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma stated on Saturday that empowering these groups is essential for fostering robust families, a unified society, and a thriving nation.

The Chief Minister further noted that the state administration is diligently focused on the upliftment of women and children with both sensitivity and commitment.

"We are committed to the efficient, transparent, and quality execution of various programs and schemes aimed at their welfare, with the vision of realizing a ‘Developed India, Developed Rajasthan’,” he expressed.

While addressing the inaugural session of the Chintan Shivir, organized by the Union Ministry of Women and Child Development in Udaipur, Sharma characterized the event as a significant opportunity to discuss the enhancement of the future for women and children.

“This Shivir will assist in outlining a new direction for women and child development. We must collaborate to empower their future,” he mentioned. The Chief Minister praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi for spearheading unparalleled development in the country since 2014.

“The Prime Minister’s commitment to the holistic development of women and children underscores his belief in empowering women, youth, farmers, and laborers as the cornerstones of national progress,” he added.

Sharma also emphasized the innovative initiatives introduced by the Central Government under the Prime Minister's guidance.

He outlined key initiatives from the state government, including the Chief Minister Amrit Aahar Yojana, which supplies nutritious meals and hot milk three times a week to children aged 3 to 6 at Anganwadi centers.

He also mentioned the transformation of 2,000 Anganwadi centers into model centers.

The Chief Minister highlighted the necessity of acknowledging local community members who play a vital role in the operations of Anganwadi centers.

Moreover, the state government is meticulously monitoring the implementation of schemes to guarantee that benefits reach the deserving recipients.

Underlining the administration’s commitment to inclusive development, Sharma revealed that the incentive under the Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Yojana has been raised from ₹5,000 to ₹6,500.

Additionally, support of ₹10,000 is being allocated for pregnant women with disabilities.

Initiatives like the Lado Protsahan Yojana and Kalibai Bhil Udaan Yojana have been introduced to empower girls, while financial support is being extended to over 6 lakh children under the Palanhar Scheme.

He reiterated the government’s dedication to health, nutrition, safety, education, skill development, employment, entrepreneurship, and social respect for women and children.

"Through various schemes, we are embodying the concept of Antyodaya — uplifting the most disadvantaged individuals,” he stated.

Union Minister for Women and Child Development Annapurna Devi commended Prime Minister Modi’s vision for empowering women and children to cultivate a developed India.

She described the Chintan Shivir as a crucial platform to tackle challenges and devise solutions for the comprehensive development of women and children.

Discussing Central initiatives such as Mission Saksham Anganwadi, Poshan Abhiyan 2.0, Mission Shakti, and Mission Vatsalya, she underscored their significance in achieving integrated progress.

Union Minister of State for Women and Child Development Savitri Thakur added that the Shivir acts as a vital platform for converting ideas into actions and actions into concrete outcomes.

"The Prime Minister’s vision aims to empower every woman and child, ensuring the nation’s comprehensive development,” she remarked.

Deputy Chief Minister and Women and Child Development Minister Diya Kumari emphasized the state government’s determination to secure the respect, education, and health of women, alongside cultivating a capable and empowered new generation.

She noted the increase in honorarium for Anganwadi workers and reaffirmed the government's promise to deliver substantial results through departmental schemes.

The event attracted ministers from various states, senior officials from the Central government, and representatives from different state administrations.
