Rajasthan Governor Conducts Security Meeting and Engages with Border Village Residents

Jaipur, March 8 (NationPress) Rajasthan Governor Haribhau Bagde paid a visit to the historic Shaktipeeth Maa Tanot Rai temple situated along the India-Pakistan border on Friday, where he offered prayers for the happiness, prosperity, and well-being of the people of the state.

A high-level internal security coordination meeting took place at the Border Security Force (BSF) auditorium within the Tanot Mata temple complex, presided over by Governor Bagde.

Senior officials from the BSF and representatives from the district administration were present at the meeting.

The Governor underscored the necessity of establishing a robust internal security system and enhancing infrastructure, including roads, drinking water, and other essential facilities in border regions.

He emphasized that while vigilance on the nation's borders is of utmost importance, ensuring an effective internal security framework is equally vital.

During the meeting, the Governor examined the situation of Pakistani displaced persons, anti-smuggling initiatives, actions against illegal drug trafficking, and strategies to combat cyber crimes.

He urged officials to act swiftly in line with regulations and called for strict measures against drug smugglers, with a focus on preventing drug addiction among the youth.

Governor Bagde also visited the Government Higher Secondary School in the border village of Ranau, where he engaged with local residents.

He commended Rajasthan as a land of valiant warriors and recognized the crucial role played by border inhabitants in defending the nation.

During his interaction, the Governor collected feedback from villagers regarding essential services such as water, electricity, and healthcare.

He specifically asked about housing assistance under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY) and instructed officials to ensure that all eligible beneficiaries receive approval for housing under the program.

The Governor also interacted with students to evaluate their educational progress and encouraged them to excel academically.

Governor Bagde's visit reinforced the commitment to border security, the welfare of soldiers, and the development of border villages, thereby strengthening the state's internal security structure and infrastructure.

He described the Tanot Mata temple as a symbol of unwavering faith and valor, especially for the soldiers stationed there to protect the nation under challenging circumstances.

During his visit, the BSF honored Governor Bagde with a guard of honor at the Vijay Stambh within the Tanot Mata complex.

The Governor paid tribute to martyrs by laying a wreath at the memorial.

BSF Deputy Inspector General (North), Yogendra Singh Rathore, welcomed the Governor and presented him with a portrait of Tanot Mata.

Later, Governor Bagde visited the Bawalianwala post along the International Border, where he met and interacted with BSF personnel.

Commending their dedication and sacrifice, he acknowledged that the citizens of the nation rest peacefully due to the bravery of these soldiers.

Expressing his admiration, the Governor mentioned that being among the soldiers invigorated him and that this experience would remain unforgettable.

He also offered fruits and sweets to the BSF personnel as a gesture of respect and appreciation.

The Governor praised the BSF as the nation's first line of defense, recognizing their unwavering vigilance and commitment to national security.

He stressed that the security forces are always prepared to tackle any challenges, and the entire country takes pride in the dedication of BSF personnel who protect the borders under extreme conditions.
