Jaipur, Feb 3 (NationPress) Rajasthan Assembly Speaker Vasudev Devnani on Monday urged legislators to actively engage in the paperless system within the House.
He highlighted the significance of properly using the iPads assigned for legislative duties and called on MLAs to assist in fully executing the paperless initiative.
To facilitate this transition, technical assistants are present in the House to offer necessary support.
Devnani informed the assembly that the NeVA (National e-Vidhan Application) project has been introduced to digitize Assembly proceedings.
As part of this initiative, iPads have been set up at the stations of all MLAs.
The Speaker advised members to uphold the dignity of the House and ensure the safety of the devices by avoiding the use of Face ID or entering an Apple ID, as this could impede the Legislative Assembly Secretariat’s device management.
He provided explicit guidelines regarding the use of iPads during House sessions, which included restrictions on internet use. MLAs were instructed not to access websites other than the NeVA e-book via a hotspot, and photography and videography using the iPad's camera are forbidden.
No audio playback is permitted during sessions, and the iPads must remain connected for charging; MLAs should not disconnect the charging cable or modify device settings.
Devnani also stressed the necessity of managing login credentials.
If an MLA changes their NeVA login password, they should remember it or consult NeVA technical officers for assistance with resets, the Speaker stated.
Furthermore, MLAs' attendance is automatically recorded upon system login, he added.
He reiterated that technical personnel are available in the House for any required assistance.
