Jaipur, Nov 10 (NationPress) The Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of the electoral roll is making significant strides in Rajasthan, as the distribution of voter count forms has soared beyond 21.8 million in just six days, reaching nearly 40 percent of the state's voters.
As per Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) Naveen Mahajan, Barmer and Chittorgarh districts have emerged as the frontrunners, with each exceeding 50 percent distribution. In contrast, Jodhpur, Hanumangarh, Bikaner, and Sirohi lag behind, each below 35 percent.
CEO Mahajan has issued firm directives to districts underperforming, stressing that the initiative is time-sensitive and must be executed without delay.
Among the Assembly constituencies, Weir stands out with 66.5 percent distribution, while Ganganagar is at the lower end with 25 percent.
Highlighting the increasing digital engagement, Mahajan noted that voters can now fill and submit count forms online via the Election Commission’s digital platform. District Election Officers have been tasked with promoting this initiative through Electoral Literacy Clubs (ELCs) and local organizations.
Video tutorials are available on the Election Department’s social media channels to assist voters with the online process. Those submitting forms online must ensure their name aligns with the 2025 voter list and utilize an Aadhaar-linked e-signature device. If the online process is successfully completed, there is no need to submit a physical form.
Mahajan indicated that Rajasthan is excelling in mapping progress, with Barmer, Salumber, Balotra, Nagaur, Dausa, and Phalodi surpassing 75 percent completion. Conversely, Jaipur, Kota, Jodhpur, Sriganganagar, and Ajmer have been urged to enhance their efforts.
CEO Mahajan informed that Rajasthan is at the forefront in mapping associated with the SIR process. Barmer, Salumber, Balotra, Nagaur, Dausa, and Phalodi districts are leading, each exceeding 75 percent mapping. However, districts like Jaipur, Kota, Jodhpur, Sriganganagar, and Ajmer need to demonstrate more vigilance and promptness in their efforts.
The mapping process will facilitate verification, allowing voters previously listed in other states to avoid the need for document resubmission.
Meanwhile, Booth Level Officers (BLOs) have commenced uploading completed forms both offline and online via the newly launched BLO app.
