Jaipur, Jan 17 (NationPress) In anticipation of the forthcoming state budget, Deputy Chief Minister Diya Kumari of Rajasthan convened a meeting on Saturday, urging officials to focus on infrastructure initiatives that cater to the needs of the public while ensuring balanced development across regions.

During a vital pre-budget review session at the Public Works Department (PWD) headquarters, she engaged in extensive discussions regarding departmental readiness and proposed projects involving roads, bridges, and buildings.

The Deputy Chief Minister instructed that a comprehensive review and groundwork of all proposals be conducted prior to their incorporation into the budget. Stressing public interest, she emphasized that road projects crucial for daily commuters and aligned with genuine regional demands should be prioritized.

She asserted that planning for infrastructure must be based on real-world conditions rather than existing solely on documentation. Diya Kumari highlighted that the selection of projects for the upcoming budget should be influenced by regional necessities, traffic ease, road safety, and long-term benefits.

She mandated that all proposals align with the Developed Rajasthan Document, ensuring they resonate with the state government's vision for propelling growth and infrastructure-led advancement.

Underlining the significance of timely execution, the Deputy Chief Minister emphasized that proposals should be technically robust, financially sound, and practically executable, allowing for swift implementation post-budget approval.

She cautioned officials to prevent unnecessary delays in proposed works due to factors like forest clearances, residential issues, or land-related obstacles.

To enhance ground-level planning, Diya Kumari directed officials to conduct field assessments over the next three days.

District officers were instructed to visit project sites, engage with locals, and identify road works that could immediately alleviate traffic bottlenecks and benefit the public.

She reiterated that on-site evaluations are crucial for crafting impactful and practical budget proposals. During the meeting, the Deputy Chief Minister also assessed the progress of previous budget commitments, insisting that all ongoing projects be finalized within designated timelines.

A thorough review of works related to National Highways, NHAI, RSHC, CIRF, RIDCOR, PMGSY, and state roads was conducted, with a focus on quality and speed of execution.

Present at the meeting were Additional Chief Secretary Praveen Gupta, Government Secretary D.R. Meghwal, Chief Engineer and Additional Secretary, along with senior department officials.
