Ranchi, Nov 8 (NationPress) A recent encounter between Tej Pratap Yadav, the national president of Janshakti Janata Dal, and BJP MP Ravi Kishan on Thursday has ignited discussions in political circles. Speculations arose suggesting that Tej Pratap might be considering aligning with the NDA.
However, BJP spokesperson Pratul Shah Deo refuted these assertions, labeling the meeting as a mere “routine interaction” and accusing the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) of disseminating unfounded rumors.
In remarks to IANS, Shah Deo stated, “It was a normal meeting. Leaders often engage at airports, street corners, and various public settings during election campaigns. It’s unusual to draw significant conclusions from such informal gatherings. Interactions between central and state leaders occur regularly and shouldn't be overly analyzed.”
He further commented, “The RJD is intentionally circulating this rumor as they are aware their prospects in this election are bleak. They are left with no alternatives at this point.”
On Tej Pratap's political direction, Shah Deo remarked, “Tej Pratap Yadav is set to contest independently. He leads his own political entity and has distinct objectives. His focus is on curbing migration from Bihar — a goal that aligns with our party’s vision. During the RJD’s administration, nearly 1 crore individuals departed Bihar; however, migration has significantly decreased in the last twenty years. While some may still seek opportunities elsewhere, if our government is reinstated, we’ll ensure no Bihari needs to leave the state for employment.”
Backing Union Home Minister Amit Shah’s assertion that the NDA will secure over 160 seats, Shah Deo added, “We are contesting under the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Nitish Kumar. The massive turnouts at rallies led by PM Modi, Amit Shah, JP Nadda, and Nitish Kumar clearly indicate the public sentiment. Following the first phase of polling, we anticipate the NDA to secure 80 to 90 seats, and post the second phase, our total will surpass 160. This election, the NDA is poised for a two-thirds majority.”
