Patna, May 28 (NationPress) Santosh Kumar Suman, the National President of Hindustani Awam Morcha (Secular) and Bihar’s Minister for Minor Water Resources, launched a fierce critique of the RJD-Congress coalition on Wednesday, accusing them of anti-development politics and attempting to mislead the public by labeling the NDA government as “junk”.

Suman defended the achievements of the double-engine government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, asserting that the continuous denial of development milestones by the opposition merely showcases their frustration and historical failures.

“Characterizing a pro-development government as ‘kabaad’ (junk) is a tactic employed by RJD and Congress to obscure their own legacy of corruption, mismanagement, and stagnation,” Suman stated.

In comparing past governance, Suman noted that during RJD’s 15-year administration, Bihar was left as a backward and struggling state, with minimal progress in infrastructure, employment, or public services.

“Those who now promise free electricity could not even guarantee basic power supply. Under their rule, Bihar had only 700-800 MW of electricity. Cities barely received power for 6-8 hours daily, and in villages, residents would dry clothes on electrical lines,” Suman remarked.

Suman further criticized the RJD’s alleged negligence towards road development and rural hardships.

“In that era, roads were so dilapidated that distances were measured in hours rather than kilometers. The RJD chief even ridiculed flood victims, referring to floods as a blessing from Ganga Maiya and suggesting that people go fishing,” Suman said.

He reminded the public of comments made by RJD leadership opposing road construction, claiming that improved roads would invite more police presence and disrupt illegal activities like ganja cultivation in riverine areas.

Suman cautioned the RJD that the citizens of Bihar remember the lawlessness, unemployment, and misgovernance of their previous administrations.

“This is the same public you once disregarded. Don’t think they have forgotten your era of development-less, crime-infested rule. The public will respond at the right moment,” Suman concluded.
