Patna, Sep 20 (NationPress) Bihar's Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary alleged on Saturday that an individual used offensive language against Prime Minister Narendra Modi's late mother during an RJD rally held in the presence of party leader Tejashwi Yadav in the Patepur Assembly constituency.

In a video statement posted on his X handle, Choudhary remarked: “Once again, Prime Minister Modi's late mother was subjected to abuse from Tejashwi Yadav's platform, right in his presence. This situation is deeply unfortunate and represents a significant insult to democracy. Is this the type of politics the opposition practices? Has the act of abusing mothers and sisters become their culture and weapon against their opponents? The people of Bihar will respond in a democratic manner.”

The charge was reiterated by BJP's IT cell chief Amit Malviya, who accused Tejashwi of not taking action to intervene.

“Once again, highly derogatory terms were directed at the Prime Minister's late mother during the RJD public meeting in Patepur. Tejashwi Yadav was present on stage but did nothing to prevent it. Following a revolting video from the Bihar Congress, the RJD has now permitted this abuse. This defines the opposition’s politics—lacking both civility and culture,” Malviya stated on X.

So far, neither Tejashwi Yadav nor the RJD has responded to the BJP's accusations.

The reported insult towards Prime Minister Modi’s late mother, Heeraben Modi, at an RJD event in Patepur marks the third incident of its kind in the last 30 days, heightening tensions between the BJP and opposition factions.

During the Voter Adhikar Yatra led by Rahul Gandhi and Tejashwi Yadav in Darbhanga last month, a man named Mohammad Rizvi made a highly offensive remark about Heeraben Modi. He was arrested by Darbhanga police and is currently in judicial custody.

Shortly thereafter, the Bihar Congress released an AI-generated video on its official X handle, featuring the Prime Minister's late mother in a dream sequence. Following public backlash, a case was lodged in the Patna High Court, which ordered the Congress to take down the video from all platforms.

Point of View
