Patna, Sep 6 (NationPress) BJP MP Manoj Tiwari visited Patna on Saturday and launched a fierce critique of Leader of Opposition Tejashwi Yadav and the Congress party, denouncing the derogatory remarks directed at Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s mother during Rahul Gandhi’s Voter Adhikar Rally in Darbhanga.
Tiwari stated that this incident has brought disgrace to Bihar.
“PM Modi’s mother was insulted at Rahul Gandhi’s rally. If this was inappropriate, why didn’t Rahul Gandhi and Tejashwi Yadav take action against that individual? The BJP promptly addresses such issues among its members, while Congress and RJD support those who perpetrate such abuse,” Tiwari claimed.
The BJP MP emphasized that despite PM Narendra Modi’s significant contributions to Bihar’s progress through infrastructure projects like roads, bridges, hospitals, and educational institutions, the opposition continues to belittle him on a personal level.
“Prime Minister Modi has bestowed numerous benefits upon Bihar, yet instead of honoring this, they choose to insult his mother,” he remarked.
Manoj Tiwari also accused Congress of consistently showing disrespect towards Bihar. He referenced previous comments made by Kerala Congress comparing Bihar to a “bidi” and highlighted anti-Bihari comments made during the Punjab elections in front of Priyanka Gandhi.
“Bihar was the first state to reprimand Congress during the Emergency. Even now, Congress seizes opportunities to insult Bihar,” he asserted.
Manoj Tiwari directly confronted Tejashwi Yadav and Lalu Prasad Yadav for their alignment with Congress despite such remarks.
“If anyone insults Bihar, I will hold them accountable. Tejashwi Yadav and Lalu Prasad Yadav must apologize to the people of Bihar. Otherwise, the citizens of Bihar will respond accordingly when the time is right,” he warned.
With both Nitish Kumar-led ruling NDA and the opposition coalition of RJD, Congress, and left parties taking firm stances, the electoral contest in Bihar is becoming increasingly contentious and personal, indicating a fierce campaign ahead.
