US Secretary of State Marco Rubio is set to arrive in Jaipur on Monday, 26 May 2025, as part of a four-day India visit spanning Kolkata, Agra, Jaipur, and New Delhi. The trip is focused on deepening India-US cooperation across trade, defence, energy, and strategic affairs, with a Quad Foreign Ministers meeting in New Delhi as a key diplomatic fixture.

Jaipur Itinerary and Cultural Welcome

According to the proposed schedule, Rubio is expected to land in Jaipur at around 2 pm and depart at 6:30 am on 26 May. This marks his first visit to the Pink City. The centrepiece of his Jaipur leg is a tour of the Amer Fort, where he is expected to arrive at approximately 3 pm.

Deputy Chief Minister Diya Kumari is scheduled to receive Rubio at Amer Fort. Preparations for a ceremonial welcome are already underway at Jaleb Chowk inside the historic fort complex, with folk artists and cultural troupes being mobilised to present Rajasthan's traditional heritage to the visiting dignitary.

Security and Administrative Preparations

In view of the high-profile visit, the Jaipur district administration, police, and security agencies have been placed on high alert. Officials have begun inspections of travel routes, event venues, and accommodation facilities linked to the visit. Security agencies are maintaining close surveillance at hotels, tourist sites, and locations earmarked for VVIP movement.

A detailed traffic and crowd management plan is also being drawn up to ensure smooth movement and minimise disruptions during Rubio's stay.
