Patna, April 22 (NationPress) In a forceful condemnation, Vikassheel Insaan Party (VIP) President Mukesh Sahani lambasted Union Food Processing Minister Chirag Paswan, asserting that he lacks the political fortitude and valor of his deceased father, Ram Vilas Paswan.
“Ram Vilas Paswan championed the rights of Dalits, EBCs, and OBCs. He once withdrew support from Atal Bihari Vajpayee’s government, causing its downfall. In contrast, Chirag Paswan was exploited by the BJP during the 2020 Assembly elections to undermine Nitish Kumar, only to be subsequently cast aside,” Sahani remarked during a press briefing in Patna.
Sahani ridiculed Chirag Paswan’s loyalty to Prime Minister Modi, stating: “Even after his party disbanded and he was ousted from his Delhi residence, Chirag Paswan continues to refer to himself as the Hanuman of PM Modi. He lacks the capability to contest all 243 seats in Bihar.”
Mukesh Sahani's remarks followed Chirag Paswan's statement to a media outlet expressing his desire to focus on politics in Bihar rather than at the national level.
In response to Dilip Jaiswal’s assertion about rejoining the NDA, Sahani responded: “He’s just fantasizing. He knows that without my joining the NDA, they cannot form a government in Bihar. That’s why they fear me.”
Directing his criticism at Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, the VIP leader accused the CM of no longer being in command of the government, claiming that bureaucrats have taken over.
“Nitish Kumar is out of touch. Officers are now running the state. Since bureaucrats don’t participate in elections, they lack accountability to the public. They fear elected officials in constitutional roles, but with the Chief Minister being out of touch, they fear nothing,” Sahani stated.
He added: “From 2005 to 2010, Nitish contributed positively to Bihar. However, since then, he has been shifting allegiances merely to keep his position. His health is deteriorating, and this bureaucratic governance poses a significant threat to democracy.”
