Patna, April 16 (NationPress) Vikasheel Insaan Party (VIP) leader Mukesh Sahani declared on Wednesday that he will refrain from joining the NDA, emphasizing that the forthcoming government in Bihar will be established under the guidance of Tejashwi Yadav.

During a press briefing, Sahani confirmed his attendance at the imminent Mahagathbandhan meeting, indicating that seat-sharing arrangements would be determined on April 17, as per discussions held with Tejashwi Yadav and senior leaders from the Congress.

“Joining the NDA is out of the question. The BJP has weakened my party and its members. Nitish Kumar is exhausted and is managing the government with retired officials. Bihar requires dynamic leadership to progress,” Sahani stated, clearly endorsing Tejashwi Yadav.

Mukesh Sahani also mentioned that his party is gearing up to contest all 243 seats in Bihar and encouraged Chirag Paswan to aim for 50 seats while proposing that Jitan Ram Manjhi should target 20 to 25 seats.

Chirag Paswan and Jitan Ram Manjhi should vie for 50 and 25 seats in the Bihar Assembly elections to ensure Dalit representation,” he remarked.

Sahani also reaffirmed that the Nishad community firmly supports the VIP.

In another significant development for the VIP, former IPS officer Muhammad Nurul Hoda joined the party on Wednesday.

A 1995-batch officer and ex-Railway IG, Hoda recently opted for voluntary retirement to embark on his political journey. Hailing from Sitamarhi, Hoda is well-versed in Chemistry and Law and speaks Hindi, English, Urdu, Persian, and Arabic fluently.

Hoda stated that his political mission focuses on resolving the leadership vacuum among Bihar’s Muslims while prioritizing education, social reform, and combating divisive politics.

Nurul Hoda’s joining follows that of another notable former IPS officer, Shivdeep Lande, who has recently initiated his political party, Hind Sena, in Bihar to compete in the Assembly elections of 2025.
