New Delhi, Jan 19 (NationPress) The Bharatiya Janata Party has achieved a significant milestone with Sangathan Parv 2024, marking the completion of one of the world's largest internal democratic exercises as it moves closer to electing its upcoming national president.

This extensive process has transitioned from the booth level to the national arena, showcasing the party’s organizational strength, transparency, and dedication to enriching its democratic principles.

On Monday, the BJP officially commenced the concluding phase of this endeavor, with senior leaders submitting nomination papers for Nitin Nabin, the 45-year-old national working president, at the party headquarters in New Delhi.

BJP President JP Nadda and Defence Minister Rajnath Singh were the first to file papers with Returning Officer K. Laxman, alongside Home Minister Amit Shah, Union Minister Nitin Gadkari, and other prominent leaders such as Dharmendra Pradhan, Bhupendra Yadav, and Kiren Rijiju. Additional nominations were submitted by Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu and leaders from various states, reflecting robust support for Nabin.

The BJP’s constitutionally mandated organizational election process under Sangathan Parv 2024 is progressing rapidly, emphasizing transparency, democracy, and a disciplined work culture. The campaign has reached a critical phase, demonstrating the BJP’s organizational depth and commitment to reinforcing its structure.

At the grassroots level, elections have concluded for 788,197 Booth Presidents out of a total of 1,070,462 booths. Moreover, 8,947,845 Booth Committee members have been formed, indicating a 74 percent completion rate at this level.

To promote youth leadership, the party has set an age limit of under 45 years for Mandal Presidents. Out of 17,743 mandals, elections for 16,469 have been finalized, showing a 93 percent progress. At the district level, elections have been completed in 978 out of 1,036 districts, achieving a 94 percent completion.

Significant progress has also been made at the state level, where one State Council member was elected from each Assembly constituency, and one from a pair of constituencies. Of the 6,384 State Council members required, 4,932 have been elected, signifying 80 percent completion. Organizational elections have been accomplished in 30 out of 37 states, reflecting an 81 percent progress.

At the national level, elections for 741 National Council members out of 815 have been finalized, marking a 92 percent completion. Following the party Constitution, the Electoral College has now been established, comprising 35 nominated members from the Parliamentary Party, 741 elected National Council members, and 4,932 elected State Council members, totaling 5,708.

This Electoral College will be pivotal in the election of the BJP’s next National President, a process that has garnered nationwide attention.

The scale and speed of this organized effort under 'Sangathan Parv 2024' highlight the BJP’s capability to execute one of the largest internal democratic exercises globally.
