What Insights Did Sanjay Jha's Delegation Share with EAM Jaishankar on Operation Sindoor Outreach?

New Delhi, June 5 (NationPress) An all-party parliamentary delegation, spearheaded by JD(U) MP Sanjay Jha, convened with External Affairs Minister (EAM) S. Jaishankar on Thursday to relay insights on the backing received during their recent five-nation diplomatic mission regarding Operation Sindoor.

The delegation included BJP MPs Aparajita Sarangi, Brij Lal, Hemang Joshi, and Pradan Baruah, alongside Trinamool Congress MP Abhishek Banerjee, CPI(M) Rajya Sabha member John Brittas, senior Congress leader Salman Khurshid, and former diplomat Mohan Kumar.

Throughout their visits to Japan, South Korea, Singapore, Indonesia, and Malaysia, the delegation presented extensive dossiers and evidence concerning Pakistan-sponsored cross-border terrorism, specifically relating to the Pahalgam terror attack, and detailed India's military actions under Operation Sindoor.

Following the meeting, Sanjay Jha conveyed to IANS, "The atmosphere in Indonesia was notably positive. We garnered support, and their statement favored India. Malaysia, in contrast, seemed somewhat neutral. It was clear that each nation had its unique stance; in some regions, we received affirmative responses, while in others, there were questions raised. However, we achieved our goal of sharing perspectives and understanding their views."

He further emphasized, "We communicated our unwavering position against terrorism."

In response to criticisms from opposition factions regarding supposed setbacks during Operation Sindoor, Jha insisted, "The most significant message we conveyed globally was that India remains united. When I introduced the delegation members representing Kerala, Assam, Bengal, Gujarat, and various parties, it sent a powerful signal of national solidarity. Any dissent should reflect on their alignment with the nation."

Aparajita Sarangi remarked, "We received an invitation from the EAM's office, leading to a fruitful discussion today. Each member elaborated on their experiences from our visits. The Minister was highly engaged and posed numerous questions, allowing us to explain our findings thoroughly. The MEA will decide on subsequent actions. "

Addressing critiques regarding the timing of the diplomatic outreach, Sarangi noted, "The delegation approached its tasks with seriousness and presented a comprehensive briefing. Today's meeting with the EAM, attended by leaders like Salman Khurshid and John Brittas, showcased notable camaraderie and unity, which was the most striking aspect."
