Pune, March 7 (NationPress) The Union Minister of State (MoS) for Defence, Sanjay Seth, commended the collaborative efforts of various agencies involved in national security and services at the closing ceremony of the week-long Joint Military Exercise ‘Sanyukta Kavach’ in Pune, as reported by an official.

“This exercise showcased exceptional coordination among different agencies and illustrated a strong whole-of-nation strategy, which is essential for preparedness against CBRN (Chemical, Biological, Radiological, or Nuclear agents) warfare,” stated Seth.

“Our armed forces and the diverse agencies tasked with national security not only address external threats but also maintain vigilant readiness during internal crises and disasters. In such scenarios, the collaboration among various agencies is unmatched,” he expressed via social media.

The Minister emphasized that initiatives like ‘Sanyukta Kavach’ are vital for enhancing an integrated response framework to tackle emerging threats in VUCA (Volatility, Uncertainty, Complexity, and Ambiguity) environments.

“I interacted with the officers and personnel from the participating agencies, uplifting their spirits. Listening to their insights from the week-long military exercise was truly inspiring,” he shared on X.

The Defence Ministry, in a social media update, mentioned, “Raksha Rajya Mantri @SethSanjayMP was the Chief Guest at the concluding event of Ex SANYUKTA KAVACH, where he observed a live demonstration and static display illustrating a coordinated response to a simulated chemical attack in an urban setting. This was conducted under the auspices of the @IaSouthern.”

The exercise gathered officials from the IAF, civil administration, CISF, NDRF, and NCC, along with academic and industry partners, showcasing seamless inter-agency collaboration and a robust national approach towards CBRN warfare readiness while reinforcing integrated response mechanisms for emerging threats in VUCA battlefields, according to the Ministry's statement.

Additionally, the Indian Army’s Central Command held its inaugural Strategic Communication Conclave in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, on Saturday, as indicated by an official report.
