Indore, Sep 20 (NationPress) Sanskriti Verma, a victim of the recent truck accident in Indore, Madhya Pradesh, has been transferred to Mumbai via airlift for advanced medical care following a decline in her health on Saturday.

The 17-year-old was initially receiving treatment for her severe injuries at Bhandari Hospital in Indore but has now been relocated to Bombay Hospital in Mumbai for specialized surgical procedures, as per a statement released by the Madhya Pradesh government.

Chief Minister Mohan Yadav announced on his official X account that he has ordered the airlift of Sanskriti Verma from Indore to Bombay Hospital for urgent surgical intervention.

"Sanskriti Verma’s treatment was ongoing at Bhandari Hospital, and she is now being transferred to Bombay Hospital in Mumbai. I pray to Lord Mahakal for her prompt and full recovery," the Chief Minister stated on X.

Reports indicate that Sanskriti sustained multiple fractures after being struck by a truck in Indore on September 15, a tragic incident that resulted in the fatalities of three individuals and injuries to 12 others.

Those injured in the accident are receiving care at various hospitals, including Geetanjali Hospital, Verma Union Hospital, Aurobindo Hospital, and Banthia Hospital in Indore, with various injuries such as head trauma, fractures, and amputations.

In the aftermath of the incident, a Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) was dismissed from duty, and eight police personnel, including an Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP), faced immediate suspension.

While taking disciplinary measures against the DCP and the eight officers, CM Yadav also recognized the efforts of Police Constable Pankaj Yadav and auto-rickshaw driver Anil Kothari, whose quick actions were instrumental in saving lives.
