Controversy has emerged regarding the Lord Jagannath temple in Digha, with Suvendu Adhikari, the Leader of the Opposition in the state Assembly, questioning the Chief Minister's assertions that the temple is modeled after the famous Puri temple.
Adhikari has urged the Chief Minister to justify the temple's designation as 'Jagannath Dham Cultural Centre' instead of 'Shree Jagannath Temple'.
"The Chief Minister should promptly direct that all state government documents reflect the name change from 'Jagannath Dham Cultural Centre' to 'Shree Jagannath Temple'," he stated.
