New Delhi, Sept 21 (NationPress) The 75th birthday of Prime Minister Narendra Modi is being observed as ‘Seva Pakhwada’, during which numerous public welfare initiatives and blood donation campaigns are being conducted to benefit the general populace.
In this spirit, a significant medical camp was held at Nehru Bhawan in Barari village of Nangal (Punjab), led by Rajya Sabha member Satnam Singh Sandhu.
Organised by the Indian Minorities Federation and NID Foundation, the camp offered free consultations, medications, and health check-up services to over 5,000 individuals impacted by floods.
The Governor of Punjab, Ghulab Chand Kataria, was present as the chief guest at the event.
During the medical camp, doctors and paramedics conducted health assessments for patients suffering from various ailments, and the organising committee distributed free medicines. Tests for a range of conditions, including cancer, were provided at no cost, alongside a blood donation initiative.
MP Satnam Singh Sandhu shared images from the public service event on social media, noting the enthusiastic participation of hundreds in the blood donation drive, with many others receiving health examinations from the medical team.
He remarked that PM Modi’s life epitomizes service and dedication, stating that “linking his birthday with community welfare initiatives is a source of inspiration for every Indian.”
“Over the past 11 years, under Modi ji's guidance, India's healthcare framework has undergone a remarkable transformation. A 200% rise in the health budget, a decrease in GST on medicines, and the provision of quality, affordable healthcare for all citizens are a testament to his empathetic vision and groundbreaking leadership,” he elaborated on X.
